There is a very simple and interesting way to solve our budget woes that is over-looked by the politicians because it would hold them accountable. It is so simple and by its very nature would reduce the size and cost of government. And best of all, it’s fair to everyone. It provides incentives for thrift as well as incentives for people to do their best and achieve all they can.

The problem we have now is people don’t really pay taxes. Yes, yes, taxes are withheld but the citizens of this fine country don’t see it or feel it. Out of sight, out of mind.

I propose that the IRS be eliminated, all income taxes be eliminated and thus all forms of tax withholding be eliminated. Citizens 18 and over must be responsible for paying their own share of taxes directly to the US Treasury every quarter. Every person 18 and over should feel the pain of writing a check every three months and reflect on the services our government provides and whether you are getting your money's worth?

The US flag being burned is free speech.  A crucifix can be placed in a glass of urine and that is free speech.  Idiots from Kansas can protest at a soldier's funeral and it is free speech.  So is burning the Koran.

General David Petraeus and Senator Lindsey Graham need to rethink their positions. General Petraeus's comments diminish the lives that have been forfeited and lives that have been changed forever through injuries in combat.  As the father of a purple heart soldier I am offended and resent this slap in the face.  General Petraeus should immediately apologize for his comment and consider resigning his position.  Lindsey Graham is an idiot and should just plain resign for not defending the constitutional rights of our citizens.

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to condemn the choice of Islamic religion of peace leaders to promote violence and the choice of those Islamic religion of peace men to carry out the violence?  They made the conscious decision to instigate violence.  They could have chosen otherwise.  If Islam is really a religion of peace would it not have been morally superior to turn the other cheek? Oh ya, that's a teaching of Jesus Christ not Mohamed the founder of the religion of peace.

Islam is nothing but evil and there is no defense for it.  Those who argue the Koran teaches peace have not read it or do not understand the law of abrogation in Islam.  They should do so and should quit being apologists.  Clearly, Islam is one of the greatest threats to peace in this world.  We need to accept it as fact and act accordingly.

It's past time to pull our troops out of the middle-east and north Africa and let the barbarians live in their squaller and fight amongst themselves.  If we leave them alone they just might fix the problem themselves.
