Local soldiers killed in Iraq
Condolences to the families of SPC Newby and SPC Beyers. They were assigned to 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Post Falls, Idaho, our local NG unit.  I will post more as I'm sure the Patriot Riders will escort their remains and it would sure be nice if we all got out and lined the streets.  RIP soldiers.

From the CDA Press:
On Friday at about 1:15 p.m., law enforcement officers from the Sheriff's Office, Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls Police Departments and the Idaho State Police will be assisting the United States Military in escorting the remains of Spc. Nicholas Newby from the Coeur d'Alene Airport to Yates Funeral Home on 4th Street in Coeur d'Alene. The procession will cause some temporary traffic delays along the route.

The expected route from the Airport will be south on Ramsey Road, continuing onto Northwest Boulevard. The procession will turn east on Garden Avenue to 4th Street ending at Yates Funeral Home.
